Final video for the rise and fall
Final video for the rise and fall
My friends Mike and Tosha came by to help me with my writing block…Mike is really good at bass so we recorded some riffs. What I am uploading is the sampled version of what we recorded. This is for the song “Jump” Im trying to make people as uneasy as I can with this one because that is the story behind the song. I have drums for it but thought Id just upload just a sample.
unfortunately these past couple weeks I’ve had somewhat of a writers block. Its been very hard to try and force myself to write songs. Luckly today my good friend Tosha came over and invited some of her friends along. She sang on some of the songs and he played some really awesome bass lines…now im feeling really inspired. I just want to make sure that I invoke the emotion into the listener and I am finding that to be the hardest part.
hopefully next week Ill have more exciting stuff to post
Also I’ve finished one of the songs…This is the sheet music…Its only 1:30ish but Im happy with the final.
Over the past week or so I’ve been experimenting with collage. The title of the EP is called “The rise and fall” so I wanted to represent that with each image I cut out. I looked through countless books and magazines to find photos of mountains to represent “Rise” and photos of the ground or fields to represent the “Fall”…
Above is the process that I went through….The covers arent near done but i am very happy the way they are coming along.
Im extremely excited about this project…Im working in Logic Pro 9…Im really quite new to all the software but over the past couple weeks Ive learned a lotttttttttt…The past week I learned how to sample songs from my Itunes.
I plan on writing a 5 song ep titled “The rise and fall” Im still working on the cover and will post that soon.
For my final project I plan on creating a 5 to 6 song EP.
I want to make the packaging in the screenprinting lab and make 2 or 3 videos to go a long with some of the songs.
Over the past three weeks Team SGBPPP has worked really hard putting together a short film. The first week was focused on script writing and revisions, the second was focused on shooting, and the third week was editing. It was a lot of hard work and I think that everyone learned a lot from this experience. With the knowledge I have now I would do things differently as far as recording sound, directing, etc….but overall the team really pulled through and I’m REEEAAALLLLY happy with the end result. I hope you all enjoy the short film.
